In 2026 Belgium and the Netherlands will host the fourth edition of the Big Science Business Forum 2026 in the city of Maastricht (NL), after the success of the previous editions in Trieste, Granada and Copenhagen, where more than 1.000 delegates from more than 500 organisations and 30 countries gathered together to discuss the future prospects of the Big Science Market.
More than 1.200 participants are anticipated to attend BSBF2026, with strong representation from all major Big Science organisations and European research institutions (including CERN, ESA, ESO, ESRF, ESS, European XFEL, FAIR, F4E, ILL, and SKA), as well as the ET. As an integral part of BSBF2026, these organisations will foster dynamic networking and promotional opportunities for exhibitors and sponsors alike. On Friday 30 October it will also be possible to visit the ET Pathfinder, an R&D infrastructure in Maastricht, designed and built for testing and prototyping of innovative concepts and enabling technologies for the Einstein Telescope.
