PhD position at Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT), Madrid

The Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT, Madrid, Spain) invites applications for a PhD position (predoctoral contract) in gravitational-wave data analysis, funded through the FPI-UAM 2026 program. The position is funded until the successful completion of the PhD, for a maximum duration of four years. The successful candidate will contribute to gravitational-wave science within the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA (LVK) Collaboration and help prepare for future observations with the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA). The project combines advanced computational methods, statistics, gravitational-wave astronomy, cosmology, and potentially machine-learning techniques.

Research Associate in LISA Phasemeter Testing at the University of Hamburg

Join the gravitational wave detection group at the University of Hamburg to work on optical testing and signal optimisation for the LISA ground-support equipment phasemeter. The project combines laser interferometry, noise analysis, phasemeter testing, and potentially machine-learning techniques, in close collaboration with DESY, the LISA Consortium, and international partners.

Research Associate in LISA Phasemeter Development at the University of Hamburg

Join the gravitational wave detection group at the University of Hamburg to contribute to the development, testing, and user support of the LISA ground-support equipment phasemeter. The role includes finalising phasemeter modules, adapting them to evolving hardware specifications, and supporting verification and testing activities at national and international laboratories in collaboration with DESY and the LISA Consortium.

Research Associate Position in Gravitational Wave Physics at IFAE

The Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE) in Barcelona, a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence, invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral research fellowship in Gravitational Wave (GW) Physics within the framework of the La Caixa Junior Leader Programme in Spain. The programme is open to candidates who defended their thesis between September 23, 2019 and September 23, 2024.

Postdoctoral Researcher: Deep-Learning-Based Newtonian Noise Subtraction at the University of Liège, Belgium

The STAR Institute is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to develop and test deep-learning methods for Newtonian Noise subtraction for the Einstein Telescope.

Requirements: PhD in a relevant field and strong experience in machine learning and deep learning. Applicants must not have lived in Belgium for more than 24 months during the past three years.
